Mission Statement
Promoting renal social work to safeguard the rights and enhance the well-being of all affected by kidney disease.
Purpose Statement
Providing peer support to promote best practice amongst renal social workers across the United Kingdom.
Supporting professional development, through dissemination of information gained by members themselves, by inviting guests to speak at meetings and by supporting members to attend useful events through the Elizabeth Ward scholarship fund supported by Kidney Care UK.
Raising the profile of renal social work within the wider renal community both nationally and internationally and contributing to the improvement of renal services and policy. This includes both attending and presenting at national and international conferences.
Promoting the integration of renal social work within the multi-disciplinary team.
Our members develop long-term relationships with renal patients, and because of this we can champion the patient voice in national debate and with other stakeholders such as Kidney Care UK, the National Kidney Federation and the UK Kidney Association.
