Many utility companies have their own charitable/ benevolent fund so it is worth asking whoever supplies your energy/ water if you need help.

https://www.turn2us.org.uk/ has an extensive database of grants available based on age, abilities, health needs, employment history, location amongst others.

United Utilities Trust Fund

www.uutf.org.uk is a fund that can help with water and / or sewerage charges due to United Utilities Water. In certain cases the Trust can also consider giving help to meet other essential bills, household needs or priority debts. There is a specific application form.

The Willow Foundation

The Willow Foundation provide special days for seriously ill people between 16 and 40 years old. Every special day aims to provide beneficiaries and their loved ones with a break from the realities of their diagnosis and treatment. Applications must be made on the official form and be signed by the applicant, their responsible companion, and a medical professional involved in their care (this can be a social worker).

The Honeyrose Foundation

The Honeyrose Foundation is the only UK charity to grant wishes to those over 40 suffering with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. A special wish can be applied for by anyone over the age of 40 suffering with a terminal/life-threatening illness, or on their behalf.
The Florence Nightingale Aid in Sickness Trust provides life enhancing grants to help people of all ages in need who are ill, convalescent or disabled. These grants are used to provide medical and household aids to alleviate sickness and make a huge difference to people’s ability to manage at home and live as independently as possible.
Independence at Home is a charity that provides grants to people of all ages who have a physical or learning disability or long term illness and who are in financial need.
We run a direct access energy debt programme –  awarding grants to households that remove energy debt, fund emergency fuel credit and provide boiler replacements where boilers have been condemned.
